    Mr. Liu Chuanzhi, Chairman of the Board of Legend Holdings Corporation; Founder of Lenovo Group Limited.


    In 1984, eleven researchers including Liu Chaunzhi started their business in a less-than-20-square-meter bungalow of Computing Institute under the Chinese Academy of Science (CAS); up to now, he has created a number of leading companies, including Lenovo, China Digital, Legend Capital, Hony Capital, and several leading figures, such as Yang Yuanqing, Guo Wei, Zhu Linan, Zhao John Huan, etc. He constantly pursues increasingly ambitious goals and develops new business for Legend Holdings Corporation.


    Liu Chuanzhi has made a significant contribution to the company’s institution and mechanism construction, strategy development, business expansion, management methodology and culture, and talents training. Meanwhile, his work with Legend Holdings has produced a number of achievements that guarantee its development in the long run.


    Mr. Liu was born in Zhenjiang City of Jiangsu Province in 1944, and graduated from the People's Liberation Army Institute of Telecommunication Engineering (currently Xidian University) in China in November 1967. He was a delegate of the 16th and 17th National Congresses of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and of the 9th, 10th and 11th National People’s Congresses (NPC) of China. He was the Vice Chairman of the 8th and 9th Executive Committee of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC). Additionally, he is the Honorary Professor of EMBA Program of Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, and Chinese Guest Professor at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).

    Zhu has worked in the sector of IT for over 20 years and accumulated a wealth of experience. Zhu Linan joined Lenovo in 1989, serving as General Manager of Shenzhen Legend Computer Co., Ltd.. From 1993 to 1997, he was the general manager of his own company of Xinchuanqi Electronics Co., Ltd.. From 1997 to 2000, he successively worked as General Manager at Department of Business Development of Lenovo Group Limited, Deputy Director of Office of Planning, Assistant President, Executive Deputy Director and Director of Office of Planning, and Vice President. In 2000, he assisted President Liu Chuanzhi with and played a key role in partition, a significant and complex strategic initiative in the history of Lenovo. As the non-executive director of Lenovo Group Limited, he has played an important role in the development of the group for a long time.


    Since 2001, Zhu Linan has successively held the posts of Director, Executive Vice President, and President of Legend Holdings Corporation, and played a key role in the strategy development and implementation, leadership and team construction, corporate culture development of the company and the development of its member companies. By virtue of his deep understanding and practice in industry and investment and rich experience in corporate management, he has led Legend Holdings Corporation to several industries, which drives the diversified development of Legend Holdings Corporation and ensure that the company develops within the framework of its mid-term strategy. Since 2003, he has been the President of Beijing Legend Capital Co., Ltd.


    As one of initiative young leaders at Legend Holdings Corporation, he is ambitious, realistic, and honest, and has always put corporate interest first. With strong capacity of learning, he is an important pusher and practitioner of Legend Holdings’ management and culture, and has accumulated rich experience in companies’ strategy development, management and operation, investment, pioneering work, etc.


    In 1987, Mr. Zhu received the Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering issued by Shanghai Jiao Tong University.     Mr. Zhao joined Legend Holdings Corporation in 2003 and has served successively as Vice President, Senior Vice President, and Director of the Board and Executive Vice President. In the same year, he founded Hony Capital.


    Mr. Zhao has served as senior managers in several American and Chinese companies, and accumulated rich experience. Before joining Legend Holdings Corporation, he served as consultant of chief executive officer of Lenovo in 2002 and 2003. He served as R&D Director and Senior Manager of Shure Brothers, Inc. from December 1990 to January 1995; Vice President of US Robotics Inc. (NASDAQ, USRX) from January 1995 to February 1997; Chairman of the Board and President of Vadem Inc. from March 1997 to December 1999; Chairman of the Board and President of Infolio Inc. from December 1999 to October 2001; and Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of eGarden Ventures, Ltd. from October 2001 to December 2002.


    Mr. Zhao received the BS Degree from Nanjing University in July, 1984, the MS Degree from University of Illinois in May, 1990, and the Master’s Degree in Management from Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University in June, 1996.


    Mr. Zhao has won many Chinese and international awards, including the 11th place on Private Equity International (PEI) magazine’s "The 100 Most Influential of the Decade", PE Asia magazine’s "Annual Leadership Award" (2011), Asian Venture Capital Journal (AVCJ)’s "Best PE Professional" (2008, 2011), along with investor awards from Zero2IPO, China Venture, Shanghai Securities News, China Business News and others.

    Mr. Chen was appointed as a Senior Vice President and a member of the Executive Committee of Legend Holdings since 2011, responsible for the investment and management in its agriculture and food businesses. From 1993 to 2011, Mr. Chen served consecutively in Lenovo Group Limited, a subsidiary of Legend Holdings, as a Sales Manager, a Regional Manager, a Regional Deputy General Manager, a Regional General Manager, an Assistant President, a Vice President, a Senior Vice President & President of Greater China Region, a Senior Vice President & President of Asia-Pacific and Russia Region, and a Senior Vice President & President of Emerging Markets Group.


    Prior to joining the Lenovo Group, he served as a system administrator of the computing center of the Planning and Design Institute of the Ministry of Light Industry from 1992 to 1993.


    Mr. Chen obtained his bachelor’s degree in engineering from Beijing Institute of Light Industry (now known as Beijing Technology and Business University) in China in 1992 and an EMBA degree from Tsinghua University in China in 2005. He completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in the United States in 2008.

    Mr. Tang Xudong is responsible for managing the investment of Legend Star and Legend Management Institute, supervising the Human Resources Department and other affairs related to administration and the Party office.


    Mr. Tang joined Lenovo Group in 1990 and served successively as General Manager of the Legal Department, General Manager of the Human Resources Department, Deputy Director of the Corporate Planning Office, etc. After joining Legend Holdings Corporation in 2001, he has successively served as Vice-President and Director of Corporate Planning Office, Vice-President, Senior Vice-President and General Manager of Incubator Investment Department and Human Resources Department, and the Executive Chairman of Legend Management Institute.


    Mr. Tang graduated from Central Institute of Nationalities (now known as Minzu University of China) as a Bachelor of Law in July, 1986, and received an EMBA Degree for Senior Managers from the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business in June, 2005.

    Mr. Ning joined Lenovo Group Limited in 1991, and has served successively as Assistant to the President, Assisting President and Deputy Director of Corporate Planning Office, Secretary of the Board of Directors, Assisting President and General Manager of Asset Management Department, and Senior Vice President and General Manager of Asset Management Department of Legend Holdings Corporation.


    Mr. Ning received the degree of Bachelor of Economics from Renmin University of China in January 1997, and completed the MBA course at the Graduate School of Renmin University of China in October, 2001.
